The building appears as a closed volume, which is in dialogue with the neighbouring buildings in terms of scale and is read simply and clearly from the outside. Yet it contains many layers and differences, and appears as a complex and multifunctional urban square, with hotel and housing, restaurant and grocery stores, fitness center and conference facilities. The volume is split level, with open spaces on raised plateaus overlooking the city and water, a two-level courtyard and a stepping down of the overall structure.
A ridge is formed with a peak towards Kalkbrænderihavnsvej and DSB's railway area, while there are lower building heights towards the local area at Dampfærgevej. A two-way stepping down allows sunlight to enter the courtyard from the east and south, as well as a view of the harbour basin from part of the building's interior facades. The building appears multifunctional and varied.
