Tegnestuen develops a new and modern town house with space for 38 youth homes

Tegnestuen develops a new and modern townhouse with space for 38 youth housing in sustainable CLT wood on Amagerbrogade

The youth housing will be built as modules of prefabricated CLT elements that can be easily transported and assembled on site. This makes construction faster and more environmentally friendly than traditional concrete construction, and ensures significant savings in the building's overall carbon footprint. Wood is a highly sustainable building material as it is a renewable resource (replanting), stores CO2, can be reused/upcycled and eventually converted into heat by combustion, releasing CO2 again for the uptake of new trees.

Inside, the exposed wood structure gives warmth and texture to the youth housing.

The facade is covered with a beautiful anodised aluminium and appears richly faceted with a marking of the individual youth housing.

The ground floor will be open with the possibility of a cafe, restaurant or retail.
