Mikkelsen Architects design new multi-sports hall in Greenland

With a multi-sports hall in Nuuk, Mikkelsen Arkitekter will pave the way for sport, movement and health to go hand in hand with social interaction and community life. It is the ambition of the architects that the new facilities will function as a social meeting place - and at the same time provide a framework for sports facilities at an elite level.

Building in Greenland under such extreme climatic conditions is an exciting challenge, and it requires special attention to parameters such as daylight, wind conditions and low temperatures when designing architecture sustainably and responsibly.
