The listed Kedelhus in Carlsberg City is transformed into a new building for Dansehallerne

Free movement of the body in the cathedral of industry

Mikkelsen Architects is proud to be responsible for transforming the listed Kedelhus in Carlsberg City into a new building for Dansehallerne.

Since 1925, the majestic structure of the Industrial Cathedral has produced hot water for Carlsberg's beer production, and now this beautiful building will be the setting for the artistic expression of dance.

The building houses the Main Stage in the mighty hall, the Small Stage in the "black box", the audience foyer, rehearsal studios, administration and restaurant.
