Dansehallerne featured in DBZ Magazine — November issue
We are proud to share that Dansehallerne, our transformation of the former boiler house on the Carlsberg brewery site in Copenhagen, has been featured in the November issue of DBZ Magazine as part of the magazine's special focus on "Construction in existing structures."
The magazine's latest issue, accompanied by an in-depth podcast, explores the architectural potential of reuse, transformation, and conversion in contemporary building practice. Through projects in Stralsund, Copenhagen, and Regensburg, DBZ shows how working with existing buildings—despite diverse materials, conditions, and standards—creates a strong and forward-looking architectural aesthetic.
Recycling as an architectural opportunity
DBZ's editorial focus presents construction in existing structures as a crucial response to climate change—with an emphasis on CO₂ reduction, resource efficiency, and appropriate land use. Although adaptive reuse is still underestimated by some investors and planners, the issue argues that it is not only an obligation in the interest of the climate struggle, but also one of the greatest opportunities for architectural innovation today.
