Mikkelsen Architects has designed a new Conservatory and Community Centre as a contemporary focal point for the school and local community of Tranderup in Ærø. Aligned with the high sustainability ambitions of Ærø Efterskole and Ærø Municipality, the project's objective is to promote a climate-friendly approach into one's everyday life, lifestyle, and habits.
Incorporating biophilic and permaculture design principles, the innovative building will be constructed with the latest knowledge in sustainable building technology with a focus on material and resource-saving construction, daylight optimising climate screen, and energy-optimal operating solutions.
