Today we had something big to celebrate: The groundbreaking ceremony for Køge Nord Silica Facility!

We had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor of Køge, Marie Stærke, CEO of Novo Nordisk Pharmatech, Ulla Grove Krogsgaard Thomsen, Project Manager Andreas Kyhn Brejnholt and Minister for Urban and Rural Affairs, Minister of Church Affairs and Minister for Nordic Cooperation, Morten Dahlin.

Ulla Grove Krogsgaard Thomsen welcomed visitors to the beautiful surroundings in Ådalen in Køge and highlighted in her speech the great importance of the new facility, KNSF.

The building will be integrated into the scenic area and constructed with CLT. The expansion is expected to create 50 new jobs and meet the growing demand for raw materials used in the production of life-saving medicines for chronic diseases. The new facilities totaling 8,000 m² in Ådalen will include production, warehouse, offices and laboratories and is expected to be operational in 2027.
