DETAIL magazine showcases the Ferring project

The latest issue of acclaimed design magazine DETAIL includes a feature on Mikkelsen Arkitekter and Foster + Partners project in Copenhagen; Ferring Pharmaceuticals headquarters and development center.

The magazine describes the building's program, location, interaction with the surroundings, users, and especially the natural light conditions that are unique to the building and which are the result of the generous atrium that opens with a building-high glass front of about 630 m² facing the water.

Another major contribution to the building's stunning natural light is the atrium's structural steel roof; a graceful hexagonal grid of trapezoidal glass elements that spans the tall interior space without additional tensile cables or intermediate supports.
