The new Godthåbhal in Nuuk paves the way for sport, movement and health to go hand in hand with social interaction and community life. Godthåbhallen offers sports facilities both for the ordinary exerciser and for sportsmen and women at elite level. It is a place where the sky is the limit - figuratively speaking.

The vision of the new Godthåbhal is to invite and motivate the citizens of Nuuk to come together for sport, movement and play. This includes athletes, staff and other citizens. It will be a welcoming building that creates a safe and inspiring environment for sports and the city's citizens.

The new facilities are arranged on plateaus under a unifying roof that takes shape across the mountainside and intertwines with the Greenlandic landscape. Landscape and building - outside and inside - are closely interwoven, and the building's open facade design creates a connection to the immediate surroundings, invites people in and mediates the transition to the building's interior.
