The Post Office site in Albertslund town center is an exciting development project that includes both residential and commercial construction. The area is strategically located close to the S-train station and has good bike paths connecting it to schools, institutions, and city life.

The project has a strong focus on reusing the building's materials to support the circular agenda. If we are to minimize the environmental impact of construction, it is crucial to reduce the use of new materials. Therefore, calculations, screenings, and tests have been carried out to confirm the purity of the materials and the possibility of preservation and reuse.
The goal is to create a green oasis where the building blends naturally into the neighborhood in a way that both preserves and further develops the history of the old post office site.

The project includes the construction of a total of 5,977 m² of residential space spread across two towers of eight and ten stories, respectively, as well as the first floor of the existing building. In addition, there will be 1,642 m² of commercial and public-oriented space on the ground floor.
The new tower buildings and facades will be constructed according to modern principles, but with an aesthetic that matches and blends in with the existing building. Both towers will have four apartments per floor, all of which will face in two directions.

The project's vision is to highlight the importance of being aware of existing resources. To this end, the project will ensure DGNB GOLD certification.
Using DGNB as a tool ensures transparency in the documentation of the project and a focus on the three quality areas – environment, economy, and social considerations – throughout the entire process.
