Kolding School of Design

With Mikkelsen Arkitekter in the lead as overall consultant, we have been pre-qualified for the 8,567 km2 transformation of Designskolen Kolding, together with Skala Arkitekter, Ingeniørfirmaet Viggo Madsen, Frandsen & Søndergaard and Ballinger Acoustics. 

The task is to secure the school's future position as Denmark's leading design university for art, craft, research and design. The new Design School Kolding will have the students at the centre and be a community that exudes design professionalism - a university that differs from other universities by its distinctive 'hands-on' approach to education, research and collaboration with companies and organisations. A major part of the task is therefore to transform the workshops in particular, so that they appear more visible to the outside world and more integrated into the school.

Designskolen Kolding has great ambitions for the coming transformation and places particular emphasis on seeing a high degree of sustainability in the task solution. We look forward to the work process on this exciting assignment.
