Steno Diabetes Center Zealand has opened!

Mikkelsen Arkitekter has together with Oluf Jørgensen Sweco been responsible for the transformation of the preservation-worthy Akaciegården in Holbæk, which now houses Steno Diabetes Center Zealand. This is the second Steno Diabetes Center building for Mikkelsen Arkitekter.

The new SDCS Holbæk is a place that invites and motivates diabetics to change their lifestyle and creates co-ownership for their own lifestyle changes. Mikkelsen Arkitekter has carried out a thorough transformation, rebuilding and renovation, which with new initiatives opens up for opportunity spaces that meet and accommodate different needs and wishes of citizens, staff and researchers, and we are excited to create spaces that contribute to positioning patient-centered treatment and research with this transformation.
